Take the Stairs Contest

Since the beginning of the 'Take the Stairs' Campaign 8 weeks ago we have had several requests for a healthy competition tied to the 'Take the Stairs' initiative. The 'Take the Stairs' campaign will be initiating a steps contest. The directions for the contest are below.

It is time to see who is the most active staff member. We will be encouraging staff to use to track the number of steps they take during the day. The person who has the highest average weekly steps during our 4 week contest will win a Fitbit Force. The contest runs from March 10, 2014 - April 7, 2014.

Choose your device.

Use an app, Fitbit, or pedometer. The app we recommend for both android and iPhone users is the ‘Runtastic pedometer step counter & walking tracker’. Simply download and register your device with the app to begin using.

Turn on your device while you work.

The ‘Take the Stairs’ contest is meant to count your steps throughout the day. This includes any daily activities that take place at home, work, or the gym.

Bring your device with you during the workday.

Make your trips to meetings, the cafe, and coffee stations count. Remember to take your device with you as you walk throughout the day.

Log your steps at the end of the day or week.

Fill out the form to enter yourself in the contest by clicking here. You can enter your steps every day or at the end of the week.

Remember to take photos along the way!

We want to see how you are accumulating your steps. Take pictures and upload them to our Google + page by clicking here.
